Open House Shapwick
The last weekend in October 2015 saw Help the Child back in Shapwick for an Open House craft fair, again hosted by the generous & welcoming Meriel & Robert at Mill Farm. Many local craftspeople had stalls selling an interesting & diverse range of beautiful items, from handpainted glassware to locally grown plants, and from antiques to handmade childrens clothes – there was definitely something for everyone. Again Meriel served delicious lunches in the farmhouse kitchen, with the Help the Child committee on hand to help with waiting, serving and washing up....oh, and providing home baked cakes of course! The event was a great success, enjoyed by all, and raised a magnificent £2860.
