Burnham & Berrow Golf Club Donation
We have received a huge boost from Burnham & Berrow Golf Club who supported us as their Captain's charity for 2023 and raised the magnificent sum of £35,800.
During our year as the Captain's charity the club, as a whole, has been incredibly welcoming and helpful to us and we would like to thank 2023 Club Captain, Symon Clifford, Ladies’ Section Captain, Annette Poynton and Seniors' Captain, Steve Cartwright, as well as all the club members and staff for their
phenomenal support.
Symon Clifford said: “As the 2023 Club Captain I was eager to identify a charity which would tick a number of boxes, these being – to be locally based and integral to the community, to make an immediate impact on the lives of the people needing support and to ensure that all monies raised would go to these people rather than get consumed in administration fees.”
“When Help the Child approached me and asked for our support the decision was both easy and instantaneous, especially when I was made aware of the work they undertake. To that end, Burnham & Berrow Golf Club entered into a wholehearted partnership, which was a perfect fit that saw some amazing support from members, friends, businesses and people in both the local and wider community. To that end the amazing sum of £35,800 has been raised, which will be life changing for those in most need.”
